BLEED FROM WITHIN — ‘HANDS OF SIN’

Writer’s Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Following the release of their widely acclaimed 2022 album ‘Shrine’, Bleed From Within have cemented themselves as one of the pioneering bands in the modern metal scene, touring with the likes of Lamb of God, August Burns Red, and Trivium. The Scottish metalcore outfit concluded this monumental leg of their career with the release of a new track, ‘Hands of Sin’, along with a music video directed by Zak Pinchin.

From the outset, the track builds a tense atmosphere as whispers build around shredding guitars leading into growling vocals by Kennedy and thundering drums.

The savage single melds relentless riffing with a characteristically massive chorus, resulting in something altogether anthemic. Towards the middle of the track is what every listener has come for - an obliterating breakdown riff that will cause havoc among live audiences due to its bounceability.

As the title suggests, this track is taken straight from the hands of corruption and straight into our ears. Lyrically, the fight between peace and damnation overspills the capacity of two hands as all morality slips away into new beginnings, echoing the band’s own emergence from the chrysalis of ‘Shrine’ into a new ‘Era’.

We’ve worked incredibly hard on this material and pushed ourselves as songwriters,” states Ali Richardson. “The result is one of the best songs we’ve ever written, and we’re incredibly proud to share it with the world”.

This statement from “Hands of Sin” is clear: Bleed From Within “will never be the fucking same” as they embark on their new musical chapter - and we’re here for every second. Catch Bleed From Within supporting Slipknot in December on their Europe/UK tour.
