ONE ON ONE: AN INTERVIEW WITH ROZEMARY!

WE’RE HERE WITH ROZEMARY, THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE WITH US TODAY. YOU’RE PLAYING ON THE ROYAL ARTISTS STAGE IN ABOUT AN HOUR, ARE YOU EXCITED?

Christy: twenty past three at the Jac, easy!

Ved: Our first time playing at a festival so it’s nice to be here!

YOU WERE QUITE A LATE ADDITION TO THE FESTIVAL, HOW DID IT FEEL WHEN YOU GOT THE MESSAGE TO COME UP?

Izabel: We got asked if we were free and we were like “all we’re doing that day is going No Play Fest anyway so”--

Ved: I was on holiday when we got told, so I was just sitting there chilling in Finland and then I got the message, and I was just buzzing to be honest.

YOU’VE GOT QUITE A FUNNY ONLINE PRESENCE, YOU HAVE! QUITE UNHINGED.

Izabel: Chronically online!

VERY! I’VE SEEN A LOT MORE FROM YOU GUYS THAN I HAVE ANY OTHER ARTIST..

Izabel: I think we’re the only band without music out, so I feel like we need to make ourselves known.

Christy: To be honest I’ve been on Twitter and Instagram just spamming No Play themselves, No Play Fest cause I want our name next to theirs. We have no music out, we have 600 followers, we need to get people to the stage!

Christy: That’s me yeah!

TO THE POINT WHERE THE FESTIVAL HAVE EVEN STARTED MAKING UP STUFF ABOUT YOU ON THE PAGE AS WELL!

Christy: Ey we’ll see how it’s turned out in an hour!

HOPEFULLY IT WILL GET A LOT OF PEOPLE TO YOUR SET. ON ABOUT ‘UNHINGED’, YOU’VE GOT SOME INTERESTING MERCH WITH YOU AS WELL..

Izabel: Oh yeah! We’ve got thongs and tramp stamps yeah!

Christy: They don’t have to be tramp stamps..

Izabel: Yeah they’ve just temporary tattoos, but that is what they were made for!

THEY ARE TRAMP STAMPS, ARE YOU GOING TO BE GOING AROUND AND GETTING PEOPLE TO HAVE TRAMP STAMPS BETWEEN THE SETS?

Izabel: Yeah! I don’t have any on us now, but maybe later once people have seen us.

Christy: I think the thongs might be a bit risky like but.. We’ve got people around.

IT’S A SATURDAY IN LIVERPOOL, THERE’S WORSE!

Christy: We’ll be around K1 doing tattoos later anyway so.

WE’LL SEE AT THE END OF THE DAY HOW MANY PEOPLE I CAN FIND WITH TRAMP STAMPS! – YOU SAID YOU’VE NOT GOT MUCH MUSIC OUT, WHENS THAT CHANGING? YOU KNOW, YOU’RE PLAYING A FESTIVAL AND I TAKE IT YOU’VE GOT A FULL SET.

Ved: Without giving too much away, everyone says it “big things coming soon”, but it is.. Coming soon.

Christy: We could play an hour set easy! But actually having music for people to listen to is something we’ve not got around to yet. We’re recording and we’ve got songs ready its just a matter of having enough to do it properly and do it the way we want to do it.

Ved: Yeah we don't want to put something out and then wait another six months before we put something out again, yeah.

Izabel: We will have music out! At some point!

Ved: So in summary, big things coming soon!

Christy: We wanted to get it out in May didn’t we, the first single, but that just never happened.

Shay: That was February weren’t it?

Christy: Oh yeah god it was Blanket we was playing.

YOU JUST KEEP PUSHING IT BACK, UNDISCLOSED DATE. THE BIG THINGS IS THE FESTIVAL!

Ved: I was going to say, before the end of the year we’ll have something out and that’s a promise. Big things coming.

Izabel: Big things coming, we’re disbanding.

Christy: Big things coming.. Some time in the future!

WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING AT THE FESTIVAL? OBVIOUSLY YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO COME AS CUSTOMERS ANYWAY..

Christy: Cauldron!

Izabel: Durandel!

Ved: I really want to see Split Chain again, we got lucky to play with them a few months ago and I love Split Chain so, going to see them again.

Izabel: And Heriot! I remember a year and a half ago Ved sent me their Heriot EP and that was a big turning moment in my music taste for me so I’m really excited to see them. Them and Durandel.

Christy: We’ve only got half an hour after our set for Durandel. Izabel’s singing so she can sprint off once merch is done but we don’t want to miss Durandel.

QUICKLY DUST YOURSELVES OFF AND GET BACK OUT THERE, IT’S GOING TO BE A VERY WARM DAY!

Izabel: Bit of deodorant!
